‘ Crumbs along the road ‘
The book “Kruimels langs de weg” has been published following the overview exhibition Aha Erlebnis in May 2015.
The story of Hansel and Gretel gets an unconventional explanation and meaning in the book. It becomes the story of man who is lost in a loveable darkness, at the time, which will destroy him. But also of his courage and struggle to find his original homeland again.
In the book, Wessendorp shows a large number of works, which he considers to be marks on the road he tries to go inward and with him all the seekers to a higher reality. The works have emerged throughout many years. With the titles and captions they add themselves as the links of a chain.
Albert Hagenaars, poet and publicist, wrote an introduction and proposes A.O. In “The artist explains with this book his technical can and his ripened insights”
