SynapsZ Art collective consists of Els van Egeraat, Fred de Ron, Gerard Huisintveld, Hans Oerlemans, Jan slokkers, Petra evil grass, Richard de Weert
The concept of SynapsZ to create a new idiom together with guest artists, of every conceivable discipline, this time leads to 3 Bergse artists who, over the past 5 to 6 decades, have also made the art climate in Bergen op Zoom, as well as the standard thereof, Determined:
Fons Gieles, Joop Mijsbergen and Jan Wessendorp.
Of these monumental Bergse artists, under the title Homm’age à Trois A selection of their work will be exhibited, together with work by SynapsZ that ‘ questions ‘ from the work delivered will correspond with his own work. This can, with respect for the work of the three artists, be shaped in every conceivable form: collage, assembly, installation, light, video, sound, performance etc.
During this almost 3-month exhibition, the work will be presented, combined and directed by SynapsZ in varying ways. Always from surprising perspectives and subthemes, such as the City (Fons), the Sea (Joop) and the Man (Jan).
The reactions and interventions of SynapsZ will be shown in the garden halls and elsewhere in the Markiezenhof. This will entice the public to visit the rest of the museum as well. There is something for visitors to discover.
This experimental exposition fits within the concept of ‘ public secret-secret public ‘ of the cultural company and joins the theme ‘ Stories ‘. It is a work in progress for three months in which the spectators will be surprised by a flanking program with various activities.
