Starting point of this image is an epic, a story about epidemics, flood sickness and death and its victory by the sewer tube.
The final consequence of the bucket, to carry human waste, is the tube, as used in this image.
The bucket and the tube are stripped of their story and there is an abstract game played with it.
In this picture it is about small and large, about static and dynamic, solid and transparent, about differences in detailing and contrast in material. In short, a game of abstract relations.
And then, blissful inconsistency, his years added, to indicate that it is indeed a tube and a bucket, with their specific history!
An epic that transposes itself into an abstract image and then repacks itself into a compelling story.
